I think mine might have become impacted.

Have you had yours extracted and if so what was it like, how painful was it?

If you've got a good dentist, there shouldn't be much pain at all. I got mine removed in college, just as they were starting to come in, and had a really easy time of it.

Not painful - although I opted for a general anaesthetic, which helps!

Ditto! It's not advised to do this, but I'm petrified of having stuff done while I'm awake, so I went that way. Absolutely fine, but make sure you get painkillers to take home (this was an nhs communication fail, unfortunately) and anti-biotics, because infections happen easily.

I had mine out under general, because they had to dislocate my jaw to get to the bottom ones, thanks to my jaw alignment being off, so - not entirely typical!
