re: macs running xp better than a pc. really? i bet a pc costing the same as a mac would be running a little better perhaps, all depends on what pc they chose... not really a head to head....

oh photos... its all sunny, wanna play soon?

that's an interesting assumption to make... snesgirl April 6 2006, 13:17:10 UTC
and as it happens yesh, the intel specs were as near as they could make them, matching.

It is possible that all the gunk in most windows machines inhibits faster processessing, or it may be that the mac had the advantage of havin a 'fresh' install which the PC didn't ... and as we all know, pc's get slower over time due to registrey bumpf...

>shrug< I just thought it was amusing that the benchmark tests showed the mac being significan'ty faster.

And as for pictures, how does sunday 14th May sound for you ? Is Highgate open on Sunday's ?

hmm but would a matching spec pc cost the same as a mac, i'd recon i could get a far better spec for the same price, unless mac prices have dropped...

14th looks clear.. highgate cemetary will be open - its worth reading the details: http://highgate-cemetery.org. No tripods. Single small camera - i think they mean per person

I don't understand you're fixation with price.

A p4 processor (for instance) will still be a p4 rgardless of if it's in a Mac or PC, in the same way, a graphics card capable of X refresh rate, will be the same which ever machine it's in, the inside architecture might not be the same, but the SPECS can still be copmarable.
