Mwahaha - welcome to Mac.geekdom. I am so tempted to by a powerbook. But I really can't justify the expense and my iMac is still going strong. And it's the G5 powerbook that I want, so that's even more out of the question. but it would be geek heaven.

How good is the exchange rate with the Euro in germany (does germany even have the euro now??) If you know anyoen still a studnet (provable) back home then you can probably get ont on educational discount.... And they do indeed rock as my friend just got a powerbook from the states.

You can always ebay the Imac, and have the powerbook as youre main machin, also because it does monitor spanning out of the bok, you could also pick up a widescreen monitor and VOILA you have a spanky new home AND portable set up.
