List of words/acronyms I did not understand in this entry:

NCJW
JCC (Jewish Community Center?)
Chabad
HBHA
tzadaka
Yeshiva
Rebbe
Knesset

I feel sooooo uncultured!!! Enlighten me!!

also, the grape interjection (esp. "I AM FINISHED!") made me lolol.

NCJW - National Council of Jewish Women
JCC (Jewish Community Center?)- You got it right!
Chabad - A type of Judaism. Like, "reform, conservative, Chabad." They have specific rules and are very religious.
HBHA - Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (Hebrew Jewish day school)
tzadaka - A word from the root word of righteous but commonly used to mean charity, as charity is a righteous act. It is a tradition that when somebody goes to Israel you give them money to give to somebody or a charity in Israel in order to a) support Israel and b) keep them safe while traveling. If they are traveling on a charitable mission, they can't die b/c they are doing good.
Yeshiva - religious Jew school
Rebbe - A word for Rabbi in general, but typically used by more orthodox people to refer to their personal community's leader. This one specifically was THE Chabad Rebbe who was greatly beloved by his community and was world renown.
Knesset - The Israeli parliament.

phew! thanks. I thought HBHA was probably Hebrew Jewish day school. And I knew that NCJW was National something Jewish Women because you've talked about it before, but I couldn't remember the C.

Some of the other ones I think I've heard you say but I've never seen them written.

Yay for learning!
