It's the 24th somewhere, so let's get this started. This will be the last checkpoint for this round. Rough drafts are due in a little over two weeks, on April 9th. Remember, your rough draft doesn't have to be completely finished (and it doesn't need to be beta'd so don't panic about that). No extension, with what you have now you can turn in and we'll accept it, just have them complete by May 3rd. Writing two fics is kind of amazing and I have stopped myself from bugging you about the Merlin one, I can't wait to read it!!!

(also, you are pretty amazing at big bangs, I think this is the 3rd one I have had you as an author in)

What I Like About the Story: I like the development of the characters
What I Don’t Like About the Story: It's a lot longer and more involved than I realized, and it's possible that due to work constraints, I won't be able to finish.
Anything Else: (peronsal issues that are making it hard to write, need someone to read through what you have and give feedback, need to rant a little?) Work. I was sick with the flu. I went away for a few days. Blah.

*hugs* You can do it, you are already halfway there, just keep writing and see how close you are when rough drafts are due. Final drafts aren't due till May 3rd and I know a lot of authors who would love to get their hands on this crossover (SPN/Buffy is my favorite lol).

Percentage of the fic done: Eight chapters done and through the first round of beta'ing. I have about 3/4-1/2 of the last chapter left to write, plus the epilogue. Call it about 85-90%,

What I Like About the Story: The way it's both going according to the original plan, but still surprises me with little moments that come out of nowhere and make the larger narrative stronger. Really enjoy writing Dean POV and because the DW characters shuffle out between chapters, each chapter has a distinct mood, so I don't get bored.
What I Don’t Like About the Story: The story itself? At this point there's a lot of backstory that I plotted out but which is never going to make it into the fic (which is already almost ten thousand words longer than planned). I lost track of which details actually only exist in my brain in a couple chapters back and received many confused comments from my beta. =/ Not looking forward to the rewrites.

Can't edit the post for some reason, but after consulting comments and a long talk with beloved beta, I think I've got a system. Thanks for your help! (Of course, if you have any particularly vehement ideas on the subject, feel free to share, I'm always open to persuasion.)

Seriously. When I outlined I was a little worried about making the minimum. It's going to probably wind up 30,000+.
