Should police have the ability to get your basic information from your internet provider without a warrant?

What do they consider basic information?

first off, a lmao to your icon for this post. Perfect!

Basic as in, your first and last name, address, IP address etc. So in this case they wouldn't need a warrant to get all of that to stop any illegal activities you may be doing. Such as child pornography. (Which was the example they kept using on the radio show I was listening to at the time.)

Thank you. I love Tom's expressive face. And I laugh my ass off when he makes this face in the movie. No words just this face while Thor and Odin are talking. LOL ( ... )

Im pretty sure here, at least Ontario, you have to get a warrant to check someones IP address. I'm pretty on the fence whether or not I think the police should be able to just get in on that business. It's like they would be able to, or anyone to get onto your field and stalk what you're doing and having to watch what you do all the time. It makes me nervous to think that that is what could be. It opens way too many doors so to speak.

No i didnt hear about this software to track. Sounds disturbing! Glad they shut that down! If they want to find how to compete with competitors ask your client first. so strange.
