Darling I think you will love Unexpected Effects by Russianwolf57. It's PERFECTION for what you are asking. Harry becomes a were-Basilisk and asks Snape for help. They work together to solve it and form a deep emotional friendship that then develops into romantic love. Severus is his usual, acerbic, aloof and cranky self but you can see he is more understanding of Harry's plight. And they have amazing platonic moments together before it transforms into something else. Truly lovely story.

This is the desktop link if anyone wants to read it. One of the best Snarry stories out there with a lighter twist, while still being serious and captivating. It's slow-burn and there is a lot of UST later in the story. Really recommend it :)
