Looking for novel length fics

Jun 09, 2015 21:03

or anything there about. I've just recently gotten back into the fandom.

I do tend to favour angst, time travel and war time fanfiction when it comes to this pairing. I am currently re-reading The Pendulum of Choice by Rushlight - and if you haven't read it I can't recommend it enough.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :) I need my snarry

Fate is a Four Letter Word by Philo lisarose1 June 9 2015, 13:26:10 UTC
I just read Fate is a Four Letter Word by Philo. It was wonderful! Probably one of my favorite fanfics every. I almost didn't read it because I'm not all that into threesomes, but this one was just perfect the way it was done. It's long though. Really long. I almost cried when I finally finished and had to leave that universe. This story is so well written that even without the Snarry and addition of Kingsley to the mix, the story would work. The Snarry just adds to the story line making it even better.

F is a FLW is a good fic for the long plot line and twists of the mystery and some of the character development, but it has its flaws, too. (If you want to know what those are, just PM me.) I actually like her other story, The Apple Tree, which is pure Snarry instead of a threesome (although there is a side-pairing threesome in it), for its better plot and better character development.

If you don't mind me tooting my own horn, I wrote a novel-length Snarry for the Severus/Harry Big Bang which has all of your wants: angst (but a happy ending!), time travel, and war-time. There's also Veela inheritance and a Horcrux Hunt involved. I hope you enjoy it.

I also recommend checking out any of the other Severus/Harry Big Bang stories (masterlist here) and the Snarry ones from the Harry Big Bang ( masterlist here).

I second for the Snarry Big Bang fics, they are so, so wonderful.
«Equinox» by hkpadfoot is a timetravel with a bit of angst (Snape is Kissed at the very beginning),
«A Long Time Coming» by conzieu is a gorgeous and very detailed post Hogwarts story, spectacular UST,
«A Light in the Silence, a Voice in the Dark» by Cayce_Morris - very intense development with comatose Snape immediately after the war,
«An Unpleasant Beginning» by ashiiblack - school snarry with a very classic touch,
«Harry Potter and the Erudite Wanker» by gingertart - brilliant snarry with a bit of timetravel,
«Birth of a Dancing Star» by asecretchord - 8th year, stunningly detailed, with MPREG,
«With Eyes Wide Open» by suitesamba - wonderful, slow building story with forced marriage.

You simply can't go wrong with either of them.

Depending on how willing you are to take a risk on an active WIP, DebsTheSlytherinSnapeFan has several HUGE fic she's working on... I can tell you that she's been churning out updates pretty regularly.

Check them out here: http://archiveofourown.org/users/DebsTheSlytherinSnapeFan/pseuds/DebsTheSlytherinSnapeFan

She does have a couple of finished fic at the bottom...
