i've been reading alot of mute Harry fics where it's incurable but, of course, Snape manages to give him his voice back in a chapter or two. has anyone read one where either guy has a truly incurable disability or it's not completely fixed? Harry or Severus, i don't care.

I have been curious about incurable mute!Harry fics as well. What have you been reading in the curable category? Just curious.

well, Silence by moonlightdreamer1 and Deafening Silence by TeamFreeWill94.

they're both pretty good, but how he was disabled takes longer to tell then the curing does.

Have you ever read Peripheral Vision by Alexandra Dane? Both Harry and Severus have a disability in this one.

You might also like The Long Summer series by ellen_fremedon. The disability doesn't occur until near the end, but I thought it was handled well precisely because it's implied that Harry learned to live with it and was never 100% cured.

Not sure if it is quite what you're after, but in my story Parallel Lines, Harry is only cured/made better temporarily.

I hate WIPs, but this one was just SO WELL DONE! I actually started reading it not realizing that it was incomplete... *sigh

In this fic Harry has autism and Severus helps him adapt to Hogwarts. It's worth a read. 27,726 Words as of March 31, 2014. I really hope it's updated, but who knows.
