i'm looking for barbie boy by gauriel specifically, and mostly looking for anything where harry's sex is changed to female. i've already searched around painless_j's themed list but most of the links are dead. any help would be appreciated.

i don't have barbie boy, but Damned by Hecateslover is a good one only she's always been a girl.

I highly recommend this epic-length WiP by laventadorn, The Never-ending Road. It's Snape/always-a-girl!Harry, starts with Chamber of Secrets, and works its way through canon.

Very slow-burn, partly due to Harry's age. It's almost 500,000 words so far and no romance in sight, although Harriet has a very painful crush on Snape that horrifies everybody. The writing is fabulous, and it's full of fascinating variations on the canon plot.

Some Wayback Machining on my part turned up The Proposal - A Comedy of Errors in Six Drabbles and Three Wizards and a Penguin (HP/SB/RL, PG-13) but not the fic you want, alas. There might be others archived too, mind, I only found these while checking if any of her lj pages had actually been archived. :)
