Room 306, Saturday Morning [Midnight-ish]

Jun 08, 2007 23:14

Summer was feeling kind of bored. Chris left his Book of Shadows out. This was quite possibly a bad combination. He wasn't around at the moment, likely off somewhere sulking about his mom's news. This was a good thing as far as Summer was concerned. It gave her a chance to leaf through the Book without him nagging at her to be careful. She never really looked through it before. She was amazed by all the spells and demons and things in the book. It was impressive to say the least. It was so old, yet well preserved.

"This is officially the coolest thing ever," Summer murmured to herself as she continued turning pages. She stopped when she spotted a spell that caught her eye. "To Turn Animals Into People."

She glanced at Pancakes who was sitting right beside her on her bed. Then she turned back to the spell. "I couldn't..."

She wondered if anything would happen if she did recite a spell. She wasn't a witch, after all.

"Who writes these?" Summer said, shaking her head at the badly rhymed spell before reciting it. "From the strike of 12 count 24. That's how long this spell is for. If to abate my lonely heart. Enchant this gift I thee impart."

She rolled her eyes at the lonely heart part. Even the spells were emo. She didn't notice right away that a female she didn't recognize was standing in her room. "Hello, Summer."

Summer, not expecting that, nearly fell off the bed. "Oh, holy crap, it worked!"

Pancakes, she assumed, smiled. Summer blinked a few times, making sure this was for real. "You're a girl!"

She was a very pretty girl with red hair and a happy smile. Not at all the way she would have pictured Pancakes in human form.

"I am," Pancakes replied. "Everyone was referring to me as a boy. I was starting to get a complex."

Summer's eyes grew wide. "Oh my god. I'm sorry!"

"No worries." She smiled again. "It's good to finally talk to my owner. You've done such a good job taking care of me."

Summer was smiling now. "Of course I have. Do you like your name? We can change it to something more girly sounding. Like Pandora or something."

Pancakes chuckled. "Oh no. I love my name. You gave it to me."

"This is so weird," Summer remarked. Even for Fandom. Usually, people turned into animals. "So, um, what do bunnies turned human do for fun?"

"Right now," Pancakes began. "I would like to sleep like a human. See what that's like. Maybe dream..."

Summer blinked. "Really? I guess it is late. Maybe tomorrow we can get pizza or a burger or anything you don't normally eat?"

"No meat. I'm a vegetarian," Pancakes said, grinning. "But I would love ice cream or chocolate. Or this caffeine you're always raving about."

"We can totally do that," Summer replied. "So, you can have the bed. I'm gonna be awake for awhile anyway."

Trying to explain this to Chris, she thought to herself.

It was cool to actually talk to Pancakes. Weird, but kind of awesome. Though not so cuddly.

Summer shook her head. How was she going to explain this?

[ooc: Establishy. Anyone who wants their pets to turn human can do so. This will last until tomorrow, midnight FHT.]
