[There's a cold laugh. He had, had regretted and changed, or at least had believed himself to. Had thought that he had become a better man, if not good man, at least a less evil man. That it hadn't been completely due to Lily and her death. But with this event, with him never having met and befriended Lily... He hadn't changed, he'd only been a selfish man fighting for revenge. He hadn't changed because he'd become better, merely because Lily was gone and he didn't want her death to go to waste.]
