Nina and I got to the polling place at 5:54 - the line was already all the way down the block! Amazing. I am so proud of my community.

Yeah - I really do think that there should be multiple machines for the districts with tons of residents. My ED only had one, but we happened to be in the one with the shortest line at about 6:30. I am glad today that I don't live in the Clinton Hill Co-ops - the line for that district was huge. Things were moving along very smoothly at my polling site, though - people were really enthusiastic and were politicking with one another and it was so, so nice. I wonder how things have gone over the course of the day - the polls had not yet opened when I got there, so I was sure taht the lines were due to eagerness and not inefficiency.
