Hmn...It's kind of like with actors--when they're famous, their salaries are pretty incredible, but otherwise it's not worth mentioning. Except, circus people get lots for free. For example, housing, food, travel and such aren't deducted from our salaries. We just kind of get it. Same with fans: if you're willing to hand around after shows, they'll give you stuff, too.

So, I guess it's not bad, either way.

[Fran wasn't quite as bad as Mammon, but the word 'free' was still really appealing.]
