That is a great description of it, lol. It was like the universe just said "OK, for these two minutes, this really strange thing is going to happen, but then it'll be right back to normal."

A really interesting entry--communing with an ostrich, cool.

What's really humorous is that shortly thereafter, the next door neighbor got four or five rheas -- a slightly smaller version of an ostrich. You'd go outside and be like "Ah, the sun is shining, look at that little chipmunk, the breeze is so nic- OMG SIX FOOT BIRD!" and sort of have your heart stop for a bit, lol.

It was pretty funny -- bizarre at the time, but made for one of those great 'tell at the party' tales later on, lol.
