Thanks for letting me put it up. I've probably read pretty much everything there is to read by way of SN fanfic, and a lot of it all blurs into one another, so when I read something that sticks in my mind, that's a measure, to me, of an exceptional fic. And this series has stuck in my mind ever since I first read it, so ...
Hello phoebesmum! I wanted to say thank you for all of your hard work over at SN Archive. I took a quick peak at it yesterday and it looks so neat and tidy. Very good work!
Also, I wanted to thank you for this rec and the one yesterday (?) for Sabine's stuff. When I first arrived in the fandom roughly a year ago, so many links were inactive and and so many stroies were frustratingly out of reach. You've managed to give me several of the very ones I wanted to read the most and I can't thank you enough for that. :)
Lastly, I've been meaning to ask you if you knew Josh was in a new series on HBO called "In Treatment"? His portions air Thursday nights at 9:30 here in the States but can also be viewed at hbo.com. He plays kind of a jerk but he is oh-so-pretty to look at! Thought you'd like to know (if you already don't).
Thanks again for what you're doing to keep the fandom alive. I wish I was a good enough writer to contribute something worth reading...
You're welcome - I think it's a little easier to negotiate the archive now, so I hope that will encourage people to use it. And you're very welcome for the recs, too. A lot of the authors from the first wave of SN fandom have moved on so long ago that they're probably not even aware that the fandom exists any more, so if I can resurrect links to their fic, I feel as if I'm providing a service to fandom.
I don't actually think Josh's In Treatment character is a jerk - I can imagine Danny turning into someone like that, a way down the line, after years of Casey treating him like crap. He's hurt and angry and defensive. But it's early days yet (especially as we got sadly gypped in the second episode, with only 7 minutes of weeJosh time!), so who can tell how he'll turn up. The interview with Josh that I posted yesterday was very interesting and insightful.
I wish I could do more to keep the fandom alive - it gets tiring talking to myself!
