You join the community *near the top of the user info page there is a link*, then you make your own post into this community :)

Let me know if you have any other questions :)

okay but now i have another question...(feeling like a dweeb...)

it's not giving me the option to post to the community so i can't do my app. i'm assuming this is because i have to wait until my request to join has been approved...?

Correct. Sorry it took so long for me to approve it. I was out of town the last couple of days with no computer. You're all set now though :)

you said, "For every theme you link to me..." -- does "link to me" just mean posting it in the journal? or is there something else that needs to be done in addition to posting the pic?

also, i wanted to ask, are we required to participate in every scavenger hunt? or can we just participate in the weekly themes if we want?

Link means that you can make your own post if you'd like for the themes & hunts, but to get credit for it, you need to send me a link [for example, the weekly theme: you can just copy and paste the url to your favorite theme picture]. Let me know if that makes sense.

No, the scavenger hunts are not required. We love to see them, but we know that they're sometimes too hard, or people just don't have time. We just like to see at least one picture [between the themes & hunts] a month :)

awesome! i was excited about the scavenger hunt but you guys don't mess around and there's only six more days of the month left. :) i still might go for it, but it'll be more fun if i know it's not a requirement for the community.

alive49 told me that when i post a pic for the theme of the week, i need to post a link to that post as a comment to the post you wrote that week listing the theme. is that essentially what you're talking about when you say to link it to you?

Yeah, the new one will be posted at the end of the month. If you get anything from this months, still feel free to post it, just whatever you have done by that time.

Yeah, you can do that, but if you post more than one picture, you need to somehow let me know which one you want in for the poll (if you want in at all). You can just post the url for the one photo you liked best of yours (without making your own post if you don't want to). Any way you do it is okay as long as I can find your one picture for the poll :)

Do the pictures have to be new? I've skipped a couple of weeks because I didn't have time to go out and take a new picture, but I had older pictures that would have fit the themes.

We prefer new, but we would never know if you posted an older one ;)

No, but really, the point of the community is to get people out there and taking pictures. I understand if you're busy [it's been a busy month for me], so if that's your only choice, go for it. Just try not to make it a habit for every time you post :)
