RIZA hawkeye
Roy and Riza have known each other for many years, although there have been gaps in time between when they have seen each other. Roy was initially a student of Riza's father and learned basic alchemy from him. After that, Roy joined the military with the belief that he could change the world. His teacher was disappointed that he had become a 'dog of the military', and on the day when Roy told him of the news, his teacher died before his and Riza's eyes. Roy would take care of the funeral, and would also tell Riza of his dream. Riza would in turn trust the secret on her back to him and the two would part, although Roy told her to get a hold of him if she needed anything.
They would not meet again until the Ishbal war where they have all come to have the eyes of a killer. His hands were to have been to protect the people, but his flame alchemy only massacred them. He had broken the trust Riza had given him with the knowledge on her back, and made a new vow; he would aim for the top. Riza would ask Roy to burn her back and therefore another flame alchemist would not arise. He did so, for how could he say no?
After the war, Roy was assigned to East city and started to put his plans into motion by gathering a trusted group of people. Riza was one of those. She had entrusted her back to him, and Roy had let her down. In turn, he gave her his own back, trusting in her to watch over it and shoot him down if he stepped out of line. The death of Maes, one of his chief supporters, would hit Roy deeply, for he was not the sort of man who liked to lose people. Riza would be the only one to see him cry, although he told her to let it be by stating that it was raining, and she in turn did not push the subject. He did, time and again, continue to ask Riza if she still would follow him, and she would always put him in his place.
Their relationship is one built on a strong trust despite all other instances that might not let it seem that way. It is a relationship of subtleties, of little things that could easily be overlooked by another, but that is understood between the two of them. Roy would go to any extent to protect his subordinates, and Riza's included in that, even if she did call him an idiot and stupid at times when he did so. Riza would always watch his back, even to the point of drawing her gun on him. Yet, Roy had in fact been wavering on his path, settling only for revenge for Maes and forgetting about everything else. She would be the one to snap him out of it, for Roy did not want to lose her too, and all he could do was apologize for putting her in that position.

EDWARD elric
While the relationship between Ed and Roy might come across as one full of animosity, this actually isn't the truth. From the first time that Roy met Ed, he could see the silent determination in the nonspeaking boy's eyes, a determination that Roy himself could understand. Although he had thought that Ed was actually older, he saw two broken children whom he told he would not force them into anything, Roy did see it as offering them a different future, a future in which they might regain their original bodies. Ed came under Roy's command when he became a State Alchemist, and thus Roy entered into the role of an authority figure. He acts, in his own way, in a watchful manner of Ed. Although duty dictates that Ed should be treated as an adult, for Roy he also sees that he needs protection. Unfortunately Roy does not always know when to draw the line, and has hurt the trust that they had in the past, but Roy does respect the younger Alchemist. They are actually more alike than either is likely to admit. Roy is the alchemist with more knowledge, given his years of service, but he can acknowledge that Ed is a smart boy.
Roy still keeps an eye out on him, whether Fullmetal wants it or not, although the Police Force has kept Roy busy. Then again, Ed seems to be wasting him time with his own projects. So, as long as he avoids Kimblee, Roy is happy.
ALPHONSE elric
Al has proven himself to be quite mature. To Roy, he is the more rational and calm brother. He's always treated Roy with respect, and in turn Roy has come to respect him, and in turn, Roy is willing to help Al out how he can. Roy has noted the growth that Al has gone through, and respects him for the fact that he would not just run away and leave Riza to deal with Lust by herself, for Riza is a special person to him. The fact that he also doesn't question Roy about his past is something that Roy appreciates.
City wise, Roy had attempted to keep the younger Elric out of trouble, since neither of the boys seem to be from the same point in time that Roy is. He understands the boy's need to do something, and yes, suggested that he could invest in cats and sell the kittens, although Al decided to adopt all the stray city cats... Oops.
WINRY rockbell
Roy does not have much interaction with Winry, but knowing how much she means to both Ed and Al, he treats her with politeness and consideration.
LING yao
Despite the initial appearance that Ling's motives were based solely on his own needs, time has proven that there is more to Ling than meets the eye. He is a bit trying at times, but Roy also notes that Ling can be very mature for someone his age and he respects him for it.
Roy's made sure not to have his bank account drained, and technically considers his debt to Ling paid off, although he would still assist Ling if he needed help.

ZOLF kimblee
Formers State Alchemist, Roy and Zolf were two of many alchemists and soldiers sent out to Ishval to exterminate the people. Unlike Kimblee who seemed to take pleasure in doing his duty of killing 'innocent' people, Roy was disgusted by it and to this day feels guilt about it. It is not something that Roy likes to talk about, and usually doesn't. For Roy, Alchemy was to be a way to help people, not destroy them. Roy believed that he was a killer, unable to help the people he was supposed too, while Kimblee saw it as the purpose of a soldier to take life.
City wise, Kimblee has not made matters any better, for he has made comments about Lieutenant Hawkeye, and things that have happened before Roy's arrival. Roy does not appreciate it, and makes sure that Kimblee cannot get his hands on any of his allies.
