Hi - yes, it's still Lent, but it's Sunday, and something inspired me to write this song. It's sung by Severus (aka Michael Griffin) for his son's band's album - at Christopher's request. The marvel is that his dad agrees!

"Far too gallant for canon" - do you really think so? It strikes me that, even in canon, you can see Severus growing into his 'kingship', if you look closely. He is certainly very faithful and loyal, as well as brave, don't you think?

In other words, I do agree that Rowling worked hard to minimize his character in DH, but she didn't quite succeed. His innate nobility shines through all her attempts to diminish him, IMHO.

(But it's also true that, in my personal canon, the fact that he can sing this song means he has gotten over his past.)
