Oh wow, MA! This AU is so interesting and not at all as dark as I feared. How you twisted the Voldemort Wins! Trope into something... almost preferable is astounding and a nod to your talent as a writer. Very well done! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Even my dark isn't that dark. I just don't write that way. But thank you so much!

A lot of fascinating twists and turns here. It makes a lot of sense that Lily would have married James because of a love potion.

I have read quite a few fics where Voldemort wins, but I think that this is one of the few I've read wherein we get to see the background of how they succeed. I thought that it was incredible how you pivoted everything from Severus' perspective. I was not expecting the start/twist of Hermione's conception and life as a Snape. I love the idea of her being so gifted at potions because of this.

Ah, this is a highly entertaining example of the ripple effect - knock a few pieces loose and rearrange them, and the story's meanings and viewpoints change. It's interesting to see Severus so confident and independent, and I enjoyed the way "his" side of the war was so well-coordinated. Quite a few lines made me snort with amusement, including everyone's bafflement at "the evil that was Dolores Umbridge." And I can well believe Severus would put Hogwarts back on a more educational footing. I do feel sorry for Ron and for Regulus - casualties of ruthlessness and manipulation, but I'm glad Severus' place in history is assured.

Yes, both of them were casualties, and sadly, due to the manipulations of those who felt they knew better. Thank you!
