I loved this look at Ollivander's Wand Shop and the Elves who take such care of it and it's owner.

I was equally thrilled that it was Severus Snape that was the powerful wizard that the eager wand was itching to see. And with three cores "The wand is strong and temperamental... and the all the runes of comfort and calmness and quiescence." This description is the sort that can hook me right into the story.

Lovely description of the wand shop and all the goings-on when customers aren't in.

Interesting wand! Triple core! Made by a show-off for someone who becomes quite the dramatic personality! I especially enjoyed the runes on the box, which I assume were there to keep the wand calm all these years while it waited for its wizard. I hope they will extend to Severus and give him the calm and comfort he needs when he needs it most.
