I adore this. I want a large copy to frame and hang in my own library. The surround of light is just right (of course he'd sit symmetrically), with the stacks of books offering protection. He and his cushion are perfectly enthroned. And omg, how much do I love the shoes, striped stockings, and bony knee. (The bookmarks are a nice touch, too.)
