It is my pleasure to host December's S.N.A.P.E. art contest. Come one, come all, because it's fun to play with virtual paint and have a laugh at the Potions master's…er…on the lam DADA professor's expense.
December's theme is ChristmasMovie!Snape.
The Challenge:
Insert Snape into a classic Christmas film. He can either assume the role of one of the actors or play himself as an added character.
The Rules:
1. Dialogue is strongly encouraged because this is not SilentMovie!Snape. The dialogue can be a direct quote from the film you've selected, or, you may adapt the dialogue to fit the HP Universe.
Examples:
Direct quote: "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings."
Or, the above could be Potterized to: "Every time a bell rings, a Slytherin gets his wings."
2. Other HP characters can be included, provided they assume the roles played by the original actors in the film. Snape is the only one who can be added to a scene.
3. Get as creative and as wacky as you'd like!
Scrooge would be an excellent role for Snape, but don't limit yourself to the obvious. Can't you just picture Snape and the Dark Lord cavorting in dainty blue frocks in a Miami nightclub, filling in for Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen so the girls can catch the train to Vermont?
"Lord help the mister who comes between me and my Horcrux…"
Yes, there is fun to be had if you can get yourself into the holiday spirit!
The contest will end on Sunday, January 14. The winner will be announced on Monday, January 15.
The prize will be announced as soon as I can think of one.

Instead of being trampled by holiday bargain shoppers this season, why not spend a quiet evening at home? Watch your favorite holiday film for inspiration, and then park yourself in front of your computer with a glass of eggnog and a plate of Pfferneuse cookies. Click on artpad, and by the time your keyboard is covered with powdered sugar, you'll have a painting you'll be proud of!
