At a recent session with PsychLady I spoke of my passionate love of beauty, all kinds of beauty, and my sorrow at not being beautiful myself. I explained that this is why I began writing poetry when I was very young - I wanted to add to the beauty of the world, and for me poetry was the most beautiful thing a human could create.

When I look at my previous years of haiku and tanka writing, sometimes I like them better than my current writings and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I wonder if it was even me who wrote those older poems

I don't know, Bette - but I do appreciate your taking the time to deliberate about it and make the suggestion! I feel as though I haven't a clue right now ... and that might be a good thing. The place of not-knowing can be a place of power.
