So my friends, in the words of Sarah Palin, "How's that hopey, changey stuff workin' out for ya?" I'd have to say, not so hot. Watching the news during supper last night, reports were that election officials expected a whopping turn out for yesterday's primary election.... 25% of eligible voters, as opposed to the 20% they would expect normally

One of the things I like about my ward is that I actually had to stand in line at the polls yesterday. We pulled a 40% turnout.

Eric that is awesome! I really wish I could say the same thing about my ward. I've talked to other people I know who are all "I am a democrat, I love Russ, hate Ron Johnson, oh, but I couldn't vote yesterday 'cause I had to do x, y, z.... " The polls are open plenty of time for someone to be able to make it a priority. And if you just can't stand in line, for goodness sake get yourself an absentee ballot!
