raised scales

Apr 29, 2012 22:42

While I had my boa out this morning, I noticed something a little strange. He has these lines of scales that are kind of lifted along his body in a uniform fashion. They all have about the same about of space between them. I've never seen or heard of anything like this before.

Should I be worried?

that can happen when they coil up tightly and crease their bodies. scales end up getting bent. its not harmful. :)

I see the same thing with my RTB, mostly after he's curled up tightly in his hide.

Good to know it's nothing serious then. :)

This happens with both of my Hog Island boas all the time!

Really? I've never seen this happen until now. Good to know it's nothing serious, though. :)
