This story is absolutely brilliant. I loved every moment of it, I loved how you re-created their relationship, friendship and rivalry, I loved their families, all the parallels you made with the manga events. I know nothing about tennis, but this was very interesting - no, exciting, even. Following the tournaments and following all these guys - not just Naruto and Sasuke - as they grew up to be such excellent players.

And I loved the end, how they both reach the finals and we don't get to see who's the winner. It's not like it matters anyway - this was only the first of many matches, official or not, that they will play (and finish) against each other.

Thank you for the wonderful read.

I'm so glad it worked out so well! And that the final works, too! I just couldn't make up my mind who would win, and I felt it wasn't important, anyway -- it's exactly as you said, only the first match of many. Thank you so much for reading and letting me know your thoughts! You can't imagine how much it's appreciated.

This was just fantastic, and when I say 'fantastic', I do mean 'FANtastic'. Seriously, I love sports, and I love tennis and I love Naruto and to have them here, together, it's just amazing! I love how you followed canon throughout the story, I love Naruto and Sasuke here, and even more, I love that you don't exclude other people in their lives.

The pacing was just perfect, and I didn't feel like you were putting more emphasis on one scene than another. The writing style was so, so straightforward, solid and perfect for sports AUs, and Naruto's thought processes while he was playing his matches made me squeal with delight. They were so believable.

Seriously, this was a complete, fulfilling journey and a very satisfying read. Sort of makes me want to read Prince of Tennis again. And I Do think I know who you are. XD

YET AGAIN, I ♥ U. I'm so glad that the pacing was fine; one of my biggest worries was that it might drag in places, but I felt that all the scenes were essential, and... it was an endless spiral. So very glad that it worked, and that it was believable enough!! I had a blast writing it.

HI WRITER. HI. Arg. Okay. I don't know if you know anything about me, but I just moved to japan, like, three days ago. And I don't have actually much time, but I just wanted to say how excited I am for this fic, even if I'm not even feeling the Naruto fandom right now, but seriously, this looks amazing, and the fact that you actually took my prompts so into consideration makes me REALLY REALLY HAPPY. Okay. I am not reading fic this month, but I think I'll make an exception for this. I'LL LEAVE YOU AN ACTUAL REVIEW SOON. THANK YOU. HEARTS HEARTS HEARTS.

OKAY. I finished it. There really are not enough words to convey how much I loved it. Seriously. This is like, the perfect giftfic. It's exactly what I wanted and more. You are amazing. I cannot wait to see who you are and confess my love to you.

This is a short comment because I am dog-tired. But just everything was so pitch perfect, spot on, and just exactly what I wanted to read. You rule.

YOU are a freakin' genious. I dare say I liked this story more than any other in this whole exchange. It completely blew my mind. It was amazing.

You did so much research both with medicine and tennis, and the whole plot that went after the manga's own storyline is great. Especially because you changed some parts, making them /right/ (they both deserved to reach the finals), so that nothing was expected (I couldn't anticipate who would win every match), so that things felt as they should have felt (for ex. what'd have happened in the chuunin exam without interruptions).
Reading the matched was exciting, I could feel like a spectator in the field.

And you included all the characters without taking the focus away from sasuke and naruto at the same time. I freaking love this story to no end :DDD I'm susprised at myself for loving so much a PG13 story, haha. But it's epic.

How much time did it take you to write it?

^____^ Thank you for writing it, whoever you are.

♥ ♥ ♥

I am so, so incredibly glad that the parallels worked! I wanted to take their families and make it right, fix the painful/wrong bits from canon.

You won't even believe me, but I wrote this in four days flat (about 48 hours of steady writing). It just... happened. I started writing it with a vague idea of where I wanted to take it, and it just almost extracted itself from my head and onto the page. I won't lie -- I had and absolute blast writing it. Thank you for taking the time to let me know your thoughts; you can't imagine how much I appreciate it.
