So I'm leaving for India soon. I still have 3 more days left in the good ol' USA and we've come up to NY because it's easier to fly out from here than Dallas. Also, this way I can fly with my friend from Vermont who's also in the program. It's always a bit sad when we come back to NY because it just reminds me how close the family used to be back

Has the school given you any concrete advice on how to live while in India? I've never been so honestly I don't know what to tell you. What has struck me most about people's "visiting India" stories have been the negatives, like sexual harrassment they've encountered or seeing so much poverty/social injustice. But the negatives are usually small compared to the fun people seem to have. Hope for the best, expect the worst. :)
Scary things usually end up being the best experiences of one's life.

Yes, excellent! Expecially since most of the people who ask me this are over 40.
Not to say the school hasn't been helpful, they've given us some do's and don'ts but they haven't really said what to expect. I'm not too worried but this anticipation is hard to deal with.
