Work drinks?

I'm not a big fan of water, even though I know it's good for one, so I generally have ice tea or lemonade in my canteen-thing at work, but I'm getting a little tired of the same two things.  Does anyone have some new drink suggestions?  Herbal teas that make yummy ice teas?  Lemonade relatives I might not be aware of?  I don't think straight up ( Read more... )

Iced mint tea is absolutely fabulous as are any of the red berry based tisanes. Iced green tea is also good.

Green tea is pretty mild. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to getting diluted, but mint tea sounds nice for hot days and I'll have to see what sort of tisanes are available around here.

I've gotten good results from leaving just a little juice (or lemonade) in a jar and then filling it up with water--gives just enough taste to get over the sameness that most drinkable water has.

Hmm... that might work well with a one of the more potent flavored juices, like grape or cranberry. *considers*

Have to admit that I'm a mint tea freak- hot or cold, but then I'm a tea junky anyway (spot the Brit :o)

I've never tried the herbal/fruit mixes. I'll have to check those out.

I'm a big fan of wheat tea, but I have no idea how available it is outside of Magical Japanland.

I also like to drink uber-veggie-fruit juice mixes diluted, as I think they taste better diluted than not. But those things are always so expensive when you buy them in the stores. :(

I've never heard of wheat tea. Something new to investigate. I wonder if any Japanese restaurants around here serve it.

I like the flavored roobios herbal teas cold. My 2 favorites are fireside chi and lemon roobios from zhena's gypsy teas. I've taken to ordering refill bags off their website:

I've gotten both kinds from King Soopers.

Rooibos has the advantage of being naturally caffeine free and low in tannins too :o)
