My day so far: got up at half nine, breakfast, Irish and Maths homework, a walk on which I got soaked and then lunch. Now I'm sitting here on my laptop, Brendan's watching the match and Sean's at the table painting his Games Workshop LOTR models. Nothing exciting, but I feel cosy and content

I think your mobile phones will be fine if they're plugged in at night. :O) We do it all the time in our house. If you're worried though you could use one of those power boards with a surge protector so if there's any surge the fuse will pop and break the connection.

Or you could get one of those pain in the ass fire alarms that go off at the slightest trace of smoke. We had one of those I swear it went off ALLL them time, you could probably just spit and put whatever fire there was!

I think it's usually heaters or cigarettes or the oven that cause fires rather than TVs and stuff like that.

If you do find any proof though I better rethink my phone charging strategy! :Oo

Well, I looked but there wasn't any actual proof...just a list of things that could cause house fires, and mobile phones charging was on it. I'm holding my mother to her promise, though. Yes, I am paranoid :P
