I have now gotten most of the things I said I wanted before the end of the year except a new DVD player. I am not one to watch movies much, but I do have an HDTV (which I rarely switch to watch in HD). Is blue ray the way to go? Just HD?

There are no HD DVD players anymore. BlueRay won out.
