I like how this whole piece has a very "Inception" feel to it, whether that was intentional or not! The desciption of Hermione altering the fairytales is something that I could see her doing, and it was definitely my favourite part of the story!
The style is very jumbled, the ending initially gave me hope but after reading it again I wondered whether or not it was written in chronological order, and if not then the paragraph detailling the letter in which they're giving up on Scorpius that this was really the ending, and the final paragraph was the beginning- the reason for it all. It was definitely original :)

It was intentional.

As for how it should be read, I'll let you decide! Thank you for reading and reviewing.

This really was beautifully done... but quite bittersweet. I like to imagine Rose not giving up inspite of the Ministry's decision, perhaps even working with Draco to find an answer that will eventually save Scorpius!

Oh gosh! This is so beautifully done! I love the angst of their reality compared to the bliss they share in Scorpius's mind. And I love that Rose refuses to give up, even if she has to do it on her own.

OMG, thank you so much mystery author! I agree with one of the other reviewers that this does have a bit of an Inception feel to it with the being drawn into somebody's mind. I absolutely love non-linear stories and ambiguous endings! This feels like I've grabbed the best gift in the lucky dip basket! *g*

I can't wait to find out who you are!

I'm glad you like it! And I didn't mean to be a mystery author, I had forgotten this was a non-anonymous fest so I did not add my name to header.

*g* I tend to participate in anonymous fests so I'm used to people being anonymous! So even if you had your name in the header, I probably wouldn't have noticed!
