I really enjoyed following their relationship and seeing Scorpius developing ideas about Rose... the ending was well done with Rose KNOWING exactly what she wanted and Scorpius being so shocked about it that he couldn't really talk until he saw her cry...

Loved the scene where he rescued her from the 4 boys, too. I think that was my favorite besides the ending.

Oh, I enjoyed this so much! Love the build up over the seven years, and the running thread of the portraits was a great device for bringing them together. Their banter was always perfect, too, just what I'd expect from a Malfoy and a Weasley. :) And - "Lame reason, Weasley" - is such a perfect way to end. ♥ !

This is very well-written. The "Or what" bit floored me, really. I think you develop their characters well, carefully, without too much overdone or reliance on easy cliches. I also really like how they affect each other from year one and how it takes years for them to confront it together, and the awkwardness of that confrontation is rendered so truthfully to adolescence. Great work!

This was wonderful! I LOVED how you used Rose's talking to the portraits as the source for ongoing banter between her and Scorpius. I absolutely melted at Rose's confession of talking to Fred's portrait. Fred's lonely! *Squushes Fred* I also really enjoyed the development of Scorpius' character--he was one of the bullies first year, and then saved Rose from his previous friends in fourth. Great story! Thank you!! :)
