Rules, Guidelines and Timetable
Scorpius/Rose Fic and Art Fest: Exchange Rules
1. This is a secret gift EXCHANGE, so in order for the exchange fest to work, you request AND you contribute a gift for another person. Please do not sign up unless you know you can fulfill an assignment.

2. As a SECRET gift exchange, authors and artists are anonymous during posting. Please respect the secrecy component of this community by not posting your gift anywhere else (including your own journal) until after the reveal.
3. Your gift entry must be posted as per the gift submission template.
4. After you receive your assignment, you should look over your assignment carefully and you must reply to smrw.ficafest[AT]gmail.com to confirm the receipt. If there was a mistake or you do not think you will be able to complete a gift for your recipient, please email smrw.ficafest[AT]gmail.com immediately so that we can resolve this issue early on. Changes will be made for legitimate mismatches only.
When emailing us, please remember to mention your LJ username (the one you signed up with). If you receive an email from us, please reply as soon as possible so we know you haven't abandoned the fest.
5. Anyone of any age can sign up. LJ accounts are not required.
6. You must be at least 18 years old in order to write, draw or request a fic or art with an R or NC-17 rating.
7. Please fill in all the fields and be as detailed as possible. The more you explain, the easier will it be for your gifter to create something that you'll like. You can edit the sign-up comment and/or reply to it with changes until the last day of sign-ups.
8. If you need an extension, please contact us before the submission deadline. Three-days extensions will be given without requiring an explanation, but if you need more than three days, we will need valid reasons and we reserve the right to ask you to send what you have written/drawn.
9. All submissions will be posted anonymously by the mods. The authors will be revealed after all the entries are posted and the posts will be edited to include the author's name.
10.You aren't allowed to post your art/fic anywhere else before the reveal, or to advertise it in a way that would suggest you are the author. After the reveal, you can post the art/fic anywhere you wish.
The moderator reserves the right to delete your gift entry and return your fic or art to you if it does not meet these requirements, if it is of generally low quality, or if it does not meet your assigned request. The moderator reserves the right to edit your entry to change the privacy settings and fix the template or broken tags, which would affect the LJ cut. The moderator is not responsible for backing up your entry.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions:
1. All fic and artwork must first be sent to the mods to be posted in the community. Do not send us a link of your work from another journal or archive. After the reveal, you can post your fic or artwork elsewhere.
2. All fics must be at least 2,000 words long, and should be spell-checked and beta-read.
- If your fic is under 2,000 words and you feel that is the way it should be, email us and we will discuss it.
- Fics cannot be part of a series you are writing, a fic you previously published or the sequel/prequel to another one of your fics or someone else's.
- The rating for the gift should not be higher than the one specified by the recipient.
- The HTML formatting tags should be included in the file you send to us.
3. Artists have no minimum requirement but your work must be more than a sketch.
- Art should not be previously published or reference another work of yours.
- The rating for the gifts should not be higher than the one specified by the recipient.
4. Works of all ratings are welcome. If you or your recipient are under 18, please stick to ratings suitable for teens.
