Caterbury Tales was one of those books I thought would bore the fuck out of me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it in last year's Chaucer class. I think it's something I'd read again in my own time.
The others, I haven't read - but they all look interestly in their own way. I *think* Coupland is Canadian, right? He's a fairly well known author here though I haven't read his stuff. Bad me!
DON'T read "miss wyoming" first! i was fairly obsessed with douglas coupland in high school and early college, and "miss wyoming" was the only book of his i didn't like.
read "girlfriend in a coma", or maybe "shampoo planet".
although "shampoo planet" didn't age incredibly well.
