Islands don't just disappear without an explanation. Thoughts?

Who? Well the people trying to get something off the last dissolving island we were on. How much...they probably knew about it in advance, if they were sending others to do their dirty work.

As for how to find out? ...There are...ways.

Yes. I'm headed to see our client right now. I'll have to be more on my guard now with this article. I don't know if I should really hand this thing over.

Not because it's dangerous. It just might be worth more than this guy's willing to pay.

Given how much we were kept in the dark, I very much doubt he was going to pay as much as the job or the cargo was worth.

And frankly, while making money is important, not getting blown up by some egomaniac after delivering him a weapon that can destroy islands is slightly higher on my list of priorities.
