Ooh darlin this was fantastic! I have a deaf!Dean fic half finished on my comuter since October last year and it's proving Hell to write so I have the greatest admiration for anyone to do one =)

I am planning on writing more in this 'verse. Kinda of a coincidence you brought that up because I just replied to a review on ff.net where someone asked me to 'verse it! LOL The general consensus seems to be for a 'verse, so who am I to buck popular opinion? ;)

Oh that's just hard and sweet and bittersweet at the same time. I can just imagine John fumbling his way through this, never realising how Dean really felt and Sammy trying to make it right... *sniffs* Lovely, dahlink, lovely.

You've kind of summed up a lot about John here in a way that takes a lot more wordage in regular fic. His belief that he'll get around, eventually, to doing what's necessary for his sons is not because he doesn't love them but because he's completely lost ALL PERSPECTIVE. But that's what Sammy's great for, is putting things in perspective.

Also, cutest line ever:
“Remember when Dean showed you how to use a Kleenex?” he gently reminded his son.

“Yeah. But I don’t need one cuz I got my arm,” Sam said absently before returning to the original subject.

Haha! Oh Sammy.
