Sean just nods, staring at his own hands, and licks his lips. “Me too,” he agrees, slowly. “I’m sure they will.”

This just. Gets me. It's so perfect like that.

“You’re usually…” But he trails off and shrugs. “Sure,” he ends up saying

Tom sits next to Sean on the tiny balcony and Sean smiles a little, flicking his cigarette. Tom huffs, good naturedly, and holds out his fingers. “Share.”

I just love this fic so much. Seeing a lot of my scene ideas written by someone else is also really sweet, and I love what you brought to the idea. When I suggested 'sean is a druggie, he gets bruises, tom is sad' I was halfway joking! But this turned out SO GREAT and I just. Awesome fic.

Thanks bro! Seriously, a lot about this fic gets me, I haven't properly reread it yet, so. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. (Did you catch that? Did you?)

And yeah, I wasn't sure at first (obv!!!) but I'm glad I wrote it. It's surprisingly long for being written less than 24 hours ago and I'm pretty pleased, overall.

Ugh, thank you so much. I'm really glad you liked it and thought it was realistic, because I mostly wrote it for the hurt value (I nearly cried a couple of times writing it, ouch), but I also wanted them to have their happy-ish ending, while at the same time knowing there will be a struggle, but that's okay, because Tom just wants to keep him, you know?

And dude, no, I love your comment, it's wonderful, and I think I pretty much know what you're getting at. :') Thank you so so so much, and coldmero also has some really fantastic Empires fic if you're ever in the mood! She's fantastic as getting stuff to stick with me and getting me to write...

this sean breaks my heart. like, seriously. i like all the different dimensions to it, how we see sean's addiction from tom's eyes and how it's tearing him apart as well.

I feel like Sean will likely be happy again the next time I write something with him in it. I can't bare to hurt him, either, believe me - this really did break my heart, especially crying Tom!
