I love what you have to say here. The worst part of fandom is the way our passion for one character can so easily lead us to denigrate another character. I follow several ships involving Clark and I have to repeatedly bite my tongue when I see one character put down for the sake of another. Why choose? Smallville got several things wrong but at its best, it gave us so wonderful female characters who were so much more than a damsel in distress or love interest.

So true. I don't think there's a woman on the show I don't adore. I even love Tina Greer and all her crazy lol.
