I've slept on it now, and I think I can finally write a few things about Power and how confused I am about where exactly Lana stands. So confused, in fact, that I don't even know how to play my Lana anymore.

People say the PTB worship her, but after all I've seen, I'm more of the idea that they hate her.

( Spoilers for all episodes this season with Lana, including the upcoming Requiem (but I'll let you know when that's coming) )

yeah, I am with you. Have no idea what's going through Lana's head and what is behind it all.
She is so screwed up anymore. I agree that the writers hate her more than love her anymore. I also wished they had more Lois in these Lana episodes to help balance it out.
And if Lana dies...can she? Doesn't she like live a heck of a lot longer in the comic books than smallville? Can they really kill her or will she just set it up so she can leave again? I am uber confused.

I think they can kill her, but I'm not sure. From what I heard, though, there's a chance she's coming back toward the end, so who knows.

Wow... I didn't make all those connections to all those other episodes. My brain keeps going back to Wrath, though, and the Isis stuff. I keep seeing that image from the promo where Clark's collapsing, and Chloe's words about Isis bringing Ra to his knees, and not in a good way.

I'm wondering if somehow, stopping these Kryptonite bombs mutates Lana further, turning the suit and her powers into something else altogether.

I would kind of love that, considering they did it right.

I hope you do not mind me bumping in here. I just needed to read a review from a Lana fan. :)

To answer what is motivating Lana, throughout the episode they had it ambiguous: if she desired power or wanted it to be helpful with Clark. But in the end, I really do think it was to benefit mankind along side Clark. :D

Lex kidnapping Lana makes sense to me. He loathes both, he isn't go to sit and let them happily be together and play house. He has always been envious of Clark.

I think who texted Lana in 'Bride' was Carter. The were working together secretly.

Does she get superowers in the comics? I know she is Insect Queen, but that doesn't count IMO.

No, I don't mind at all.

I hope that's where they're going with it and they're not going back on what Imra said. I just have this fear, because it's Smallville and they're always disappointing me with things like that.

I just thought it sort of came out of nowhere, because Lex seemed to basically leave Lana alone for most of Season 7.

I don't know much about the comics, just what I've read from wikis. Why wouldn't Insect Queen count?

I totally understand why you feel it came out of nowhere. It did. And yet, to me, it didn't.

Yes, I guess Insect Queen could. Hmm...I did some digging and the comics can be very wacky. LOL

Oh man. Well you know I enjoyed this episode, but I 100% agree with you on the part of what is motivation Lana right now. I just dont know at this point :\
All I can say right now is I HOPE Requiem is better for Lana.

I enjoyed it from an entertainment standpoint, it's just everything that came with it...the bashing and the WTF factor with her motivation.

Hope is all we have, really. Now that I've seen everything I missed in earlier seasons, I can say it's been years since one could expect a better episode.

I agree with you. Lana keeps getting screwed over, & it's really not fair. She's an awesome, strong character & has been from the beginning. & Idk why so many people hate her! I have always loved Lana. & Kristin is gorgeous!

I actually can understand why people hate her, it's just gotten to the point that people hate her just because.
