Thats a good way to think about things. I cant help but notice that the end game scenario you describe where we sort of blend into everything else resembles that of some various Eastern religions like Buddhism and Hinduism. But they have rules and stuff added on to that basic idea, so it isnt as pure as the athiestic idea of just dying and turing into the universe. Your entry is very well written and has been a good read and provokes some interesting thoughts..
wow, chelsea...i believe almost the exact same thing... i dont really believe in god or the afterlife, but that doesnt mean i deny the possibility of them existing. its just hard to believe that something as great as god is out there, who supposedly watches over us, when everyday, shit happens to everyone who doesnt deserve it. i do like the new outlook though, that what if when we die, we are "recycled" into the world and contribute to all of its beauty. wow. who did you talk to about this?...i want to shake her hand.
