So um. I need to update and talk about my life and um, stuff. But basically I saw Thor and while all of fandom is going, "Loki!" I am going, "Hawkeye!" And then reccea goes, "Darcy/Hawkeye fic! It's adorable, I promise!" And lo, she was correct. Possibly I was doomed? I wanted to get part one of this out here before someone else wrote the same

I was totally surprised at how much I loved Thor. IT's right behind the first Iron Man in my Marvel movie rankings.

Dude, I know! I like to think he was kind of crushing on Pepper during the first Iron Man movie, since she was clearly the only sane choice he had to deal with, but two such organized & efficient people would drive each other batty in a long term setup. He needs someone to make him want to loosen the tie.

Hm. I think Agent Coulson hasn't discovered his match onscreen yet, maybe.

It's funny, because as much as I think the Ultimate Marvel line is a steaming pile of yuck, I kind of love their version of Carol Danvers (and Jessica Drew, seriously those two ladies are the only good parts of Ultimate Marvel). I could totally see Coulson with someone like that.

I like...aspects of the Ultimate Marvel line. Like I loved Clint and Natasha in the second Ultimates trade, because they were such great buddies and Clint had his adorable little family...and then I never read the third one because I heard such horrifying things. I am not entirely sure if the Scarlett Johansson (god, spelling) Black Widow is supposed to an Ult! version or just sort of a young 616 version or what, but I expected her to be awful and she wasn't. Still, people ship her with Happy Hogan and I LOVE that. I haven't read any Ultimate stuff with Carol or Jessica but I'd be interested to take a peek someday.

Darcy FTW. Is all I'm saying. Also, I really do love the "I like to lead" line. Because it says so very much about her.

Awww, thank you! You have been an awesome cheerleader. And yeah, in ballroom dance classes? People get pissy if you fight them over who leads. (The ideal being that no one really leads and it's some sort of zen partnership, but that never works the first time or twelve.)
