Ah Hawaii 5-0, having never seen the original (what?) I gave it a go, and it's a highlight for me too. To the tune of "oh hey look fic" *starts reading and wants more*

Oh, I used to watch the re-runs of the original all summer. It ran for 12 seasons and I had this ridiculous crush on Jack Lord, who played the original Steve McGarrett. But yeah, the fic for the new one? Is wonderful!

Oh, honey, I'm so sorry about the stress of the job search. I hope things shake out for you and soon. And I totally understand how creative stuff gets hard to do - I can only imagine how hard it is to settle to things with so much up in the air. ♥

Something like 50% of SGA fandom (statistics completely fabricated; but it's a lot of people!) migrated to H50 in the past week, me included. I thought it was going to be a really dumb show, and then it turned out to be GOOD. And funny! With banter! And action! I'm toast :D

Thank you for your good thoughts! It's so funny - I get more done when I have no time because I squeeze things in the few minutes between things...when I have long stretches of time, I think, "Oh, I have forever to do this!" and then don't do it.

I am so glad to see familiar faces in H50! I was sure it was going to be awful but I LOVE it. And there's this story about Kono, and how she grew up idolizing Chin Ho that I really want to write, but it will not come out of my brain. SIGH.

PS: Steve's GAZE OF YEARNING in your icon makes me melty!

Have you watched Chase? That's my new show of this season. Surprisingly enjoyable, with some continuity and character-building and hot people running around, occasionally shooting guns.

Um, I don't know, I didn't know there was a comic book called Chase. It's about a US Marshall named Annie Frost. It takes place in Texas. Cole Hauser is the only actor I recognized in the cast, but Jennifer Morrison (Dr Cameron from House) had a guest star.
