Diaries don't answer back...

Dear LJ:

If I have a package of sausages and the plastic over the top is all swelled up, that means I should not cook and eat them, right? Straight to trash, do not pass go, do not collect $200?

cooking disasters, failing at life

Yeah, trash. Unless food poisoning is your idea of a fun time.

Noes! :(

I made beef stir fry. Unfortunately, I remembered why I never make beef stir fry anymore--the beef never ends up tasting very good.

(I am around.)

Awww. Why do you think it doesn't taste good? Does it get overcooked or is it the sauce or something?

(I have waved you.)

Yeah. I mean, I'm a vegetarian, but I wouldn't even eat tofu sausage if it had something like that. I can't think of any explanations besides bacterial growth that produces gases for such an effect. It's like the warning to never eat tins that bulge outward, I suppose.

I've committed to not thinking about it very hard, but yeah, that sounds like a probable explanation.

Unless your trash gives you $200 for not passing go and giving it sausage.

Yeah, my trash is sadly not that generous. Have you seen that post on adulthood? I thought I was doing pretty good this week but now I'm like, "...or not."

CLEAN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL THE THINGS!!!

(don't worry - I think I have seen almost every single person on my f-list referencing that post this week. i think 95% of "functioning adults" don't feel like it most of the time. ;-))
