Today was a Day.

I am, perhaps unsurprisingly, smittywing on dreamwidth. There's nothing there at the moment, and there probably won't be anything there that isn't also here, but I'll let you know if that changes. I am attracted to the shiny!new! aspects since there's a lot of clutter on this journal but...I've been on LJ for...eight years? So I'm fairly comfy ( Read more... )

Oh good god. I feel like my granddaddy's axiom of "you're either rich or you own an automobile" needs an addendum about tire repair now.

The thing that is getting me is...IT'S A FLAT TIRE. People get flat tires EVERY DAY. And yet, I am the only person I know who takes more than an entire day to get a flat tire fixed. I am kind of a walking comedy routine. :P

PLEASE NOTE: At this point, MacGyver could have MADE me a new tire with duct tape and bubble gum. Thank you.

This made me laugh out loud. I shared with Mr KA because he asked me what was so funny, but he really didn't share my amusement. And I'm sorry it was so bad for you but you have no idea how much I needed that laugh so thank you.

And I really hope that your car is fixed tomorrow and that everything goes smoother for you. *hugs*

Dude, it was totally meant to make people laugh. By the time I wrote this, I was amused by the irony of the whole thing myself. I swear, I am the only person who turns a flat tire into a two-day event. ;)

Also, congratulations! *hugs* I need to reread your post because I was skimming on the bberry last night but...eeeeeee!

The tire is actually still not fixed. I need to buy two new ones and have the place do an alignment, to the tune of $420 but they are VERY SPECIAL tires that even the dealership didn't have available so I am in a loaner Mazda 3 until they get my car back in working order. *sigh*

Laaaaame. In that case, I am glad your tires are on the road to being fixed, as it were. I also have speshul snowflake tires, and I hate when they go flat, b/c I have to go three places and wait at least a few days for a replacement. Yuck! *hugs you*

But hey, at least you get a fun loaner car! :-D
