Behind, but making good time

I am having career emo tonight but aside from that, am I the last person to discover Band of Horses? I looked up their "Funeral" because it was on Army Wives this week (shut up) and have subsequently listened to their entire oeuvre. Or at least as much of their oeuvre as exists on their MySpace page ( Read more... )

:P Dude, this is what happens when you turn 30. You become retroactively uncool. Dude, are their band members not hot or something? I don't even see people trying to slash them.

Even I have one of their songs, and I am an old cranky person...

Wow, I just realized the song I liked is even two years old. It's not my fault! I haven't seen anyone on LJ trying to slash them. It's like one of those old mindbenders: If LJ isn't trying to slash you, are you really that hot/important/famous?

Clearly I will be remedying this oversight.

Uh, the music, not the bandslash.

Pretty much, yeah. :D (That being said, I think I discovered them through The OC, so my indie cred isn't all that.)

Hahaha! It's better than discovering them through Army Wives two years late.

Pretty much my only indie cred is owning all the Wallflowers albums, but I'm not even sure they count after Bringing Down the Horse. :)

Sorry! They were on a Ford Edge commercial! I thought you'd have found them. Apologies.

Also check out "The Garden" by Mirah. It was on SYTYCD, but maybe you don't watch that?

Aha! I knew I'd heard "The Funeral" before but I couldn't think of where, and why I wouldn't have looked up the band already. That explains it. I have some Mirah songs on George, so I will have to see if "The Garden" is among them. I actually don't watch SYTYCD, which is kind of weird, because I took dance lessons for 13 years, but hey. That's my wacko TV watching schedule for you.

Thanks!
