So, I watched Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. And it's not West Wing but I'm not sure they could make another show that would interest me in quite the same way. But it's pretty awesome and now I want to write fic and call it, "Style Points." I don't know what it would be about, but I have this happy attachment to the title.

My sister once identified Ben Affleck to our parents as, "You know - Matt Damon's heterosexual life partner." It was the most brilliant thing ever.

They're completely slashy and I was sort of thinking of 11 years back and Matt pushing Danny into rehab while quietly covering up some awful mess he made while high. It would probably be that really subtexty kind of gen. ;)

I've told almost everyone I know that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are my favorite Hollywood couple, and I was devestated when they broke up.

*cough* Did you happen to catch the exchange when they were talking about Chandler's Matt's back surgery? Because I think I remember them talking about why he needed it, but I was...I don't know what I was doing. Possibly trying to be a good student.

And about halfway through I turned to M. and said, "you realize this is LJ's newest slash pairing, yes?" and the husband was like, "ohhhh, yeah." Yay, for I have given him his own pair of slash goggles! *thumbs up*

They aired a commercial a few weeks back where they were frolicking grappling on the beach and I was like, "Whoa." Clearly they are the Next Big Thing.

I had downloaded the pilot back in July and I hadn't watched it and I randomly decided to watch it tonight, not knowing the real version was on television... I was fascinated, the way I was when Sports Night debuted. I'm not sure I could watch this for an hour every week, but... man. Some of those bits? Good stuff. Matt and Danny.

It's Aaron Sorkin dialogue and he's definitely drawing from personal experience so it's bound to be accurate, but I'm just not sure what they actually have in the way of stories. You can only rail against The Man for so long and except for Timothy Busfield, none of the other characters really rock. Jordan keeps insisting that she rocks, she needs some fallacies and fast.

I really liked it. Of course it's Sorkin, so I was bound to. And it starred Bradley Whitford's dimples, so that is always a plus.

I'm a little worried that John and Rodney are going to get jealous of Matt and Danny, but I'm sure they'll survive.

Bradley Whitford's dimples are in a class of their own. Josh was my West Wing boyfriend from the very beginning.

John and Rodney are in another galaxy! So...they can be Pegasus galaxy boyfriends and Matt and Danny can be Milky Way galaxy boyfriends!

This all made sense in my head.

I really liked it, although I didn't watch it last night rather rented it through Netflix weeks ago. After I was done I kept thinking Matt and Danny are sooo like Josh and Sam (that was my favorite on TWW), and I can go Gen. So, if you get inspired, go for it!

And on a totally different note. I have been trying to find a box for your candles for a weeks. All the ones I have are just too small because of the one thing. It's a little frustrating, but I will prevail and find a freakin' box. I just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten about you, quite the opposite. :)

I keep looking at them and thinking, "Hey! It's Chandler and Josh!" Except it's not. I am very much with the slashy but my idea has to do with booting Danny off to rehab so I don't think anyone's getting any in this particular story. ;)

*laugh* You should have seen me trying to pack the candles I have. And then I didn't want to send them in the truck, because they might melt! And my mom's all, "Why are there two boxes of candles in your backseat? And what's that bag of blue boxes?" And I'm doing the handwave *these are not the droids you seek* thing.

But dude, I know you have a lot on your plate right now, so I'm not worried. :) If reccea can come out in a few weeks, we might be headed north anyway, so we could even come up and see you if you're not ready to pop yet. ;)
