Is this thing on?

Oh, LJ, I have missed you. I haven't exactly looked at my friendslist since Thursday night so if something life-changing happened to anyone, I missed it. Also, if you commented over the weekend, I'll be sifting through my email to find those in a bit ( Read more... )

Oh no! Foot injuries are BAD!

Oh yeah, she's coming in super early! You shall have to nap or something!

Also, have I told you how much I love the fact you have a tag that says "colon" :-)

It was just a little twinge now and then before but now it's really sore. We'll see if it goes away.

I know! I have to get up at like...six or something. :) There will be napping.

Of course I have a "colon" tag! I'll need it again when I get my pictures of the giant colon developed! (And then I can make an icon...)

First of all, I totally want Fun Dip NOW.

Secondly, I want to come visit too! If I abandon the husband and kids can I sleep on the floor? Hm. Actually, husband will be out of town. Do you think the boys would be okay if I left them bottles of water and boxes of cereal? Guess not. Sigh.

If you come visit, you can share my Fun Dip. You're always welcome at my house. :) I'll find a place for you, no matter what.

Also, I've been metaing about your boyfriend. This is what I was saying to control_freak80 earlier tonight:

I came up with his whole history in my head the other day - how he was going to be an engineer so he could design cars and then he met an Air Force recruiter who said, "Why stop at cars when you could design planes?" So he joined the Air Force and decided to fly first and then got wrapped up in special ops and was a POW for three days so he could break some other guys out and tried to resign his commission after that, but they gave him a medal and flew his wife and son out to give it to him and wow, yeah, I just have this whole THING.

Dude, I need a Colonel Sheppard icon.

My boyfriend is SO AWESOME. My fanfic-father-of-an-AU-version-of-a-tv-character is the best boyfriend ever.

Are you still se on that one guy for Sheppard?

Your boyfriend is totally awesome. And I haven't even gotten to the part where he's in this little hotel room in Germany, making love to his wife while their three-year-old son is sleeping in the other room and he's trying to be quiet so he's muffling his gasps in the skin of her neck and shoulder and she's holding him and she totally gets him through that week and then his next assignment is a quiet, safe one and he says he's going to quit after that, but she just kisses him on the temple and tells him to take it day by day and he does and when it's time to go to the next place, they just do, with no more to-do.

So yeah, I still like that one guy but I'm not married to the idea, you know? So if you find someone who fits better? Just holler and I'll take a look.

Made an MP3 post yesterday, if you've been watching those for music you might want.

It's FANTASTIC. We used to go to the Cumberland Farms in Middletown after volleyball practice and get it for the ride home.

so if something life-changing happened to anyone, I missed it.

Well, I eloped to Vegas with George Clooney, but other than that, it's been same old, same old. With added tasks at work, because I refuse to be a parasite on my new husband's immense wealth. Also, if I'm at work, I don't have to take care of George's potbellied pig.

Fun Dip and those candy buttons I wasn't allowed to eat unless Mom bought them because people used to put LSD on the paper.I'm not sure what it says about my mom that she didn't restrict my purchases of hardened-sugar button candy in any way. Of course, I rarely bought it because I always ended up eating bits of paper along with the candy, and if I wanted to eat paper, we had plenty of magazines lying around. I was, however, strongly devoted to Fun Dip, and would suck sugar off the stick until the stick itself was all pointy, and then gobble it up, thereby putting all of my molars at risk because those sticks were hard, dammit. I also really liked those multi-colored nougat things from Brach's, the ones ( ... )

Dude! I'm glad I checked! Do you think your new husband will introduce me to Mark Wahlburg? Because I'm usually pretty blase about hunky guys but I can make an exception for Marky Mark's abs.

My mom used to get us those nouget candies too! From the price-per-pound mix in the grocery store. We'd also get the inch-long gummy bears that were really too tough to be called gummy bears and the caramels with the cream center and the neapolitan coconut cubes. Man, I loved those coconut things. The nouget things were second only to them. Someone on my friendslist was talking about Fun Dip the other day and how they wished they could just get a big package of the sticks, to which I say, hell yeah. Also, why do they only give you two sticks and three packets of powder? It's like the hot dog/bun paradox. I swear. (The paper gives the candy buttons flavor.)

I'll see what I can do. George is a little busy buying baby gifts for, like, *all* of his boyfriends who have newborns at home, but I might be able to have him arrange something for you and Mark before we head to Malibu to meet Shiloh. (I know. I didn't say anything to George, because Brad is his favorite, but *Shiloh*? What's next -- Antietam?)

Man, I loved those coconut things. The nouget things were second only to them.

OMG, the Neapolitan coconut things! There was a segment about them on Unwrapped (on the Food Network) and I walked away with the hugest craving for them. Which has just been renewed, along with one for the nougat things. Hmmmm. I'm having a big fangirl thing this weekend with hwmitzy and devildoll and I feel a Candy-Buying Sortie coming on. John would be really good at organizing that, as long as Rodney's not on about citric-acid-as-a-preservative and whatnot.
