ooh, that was awesome. i adored the Sumner/Weir posted earlier today and have spent all day, in between reading and writing, thinking about AUs where Sumner lives...where they find an alternate universe Sumner...where his twin brother shows up in Pegasus.

i have soap operatic issues *g*

Aw, thank you! I think probably the end of the first one packs a bigger punch when you know he dies, but I always want to make up these "but if he lived!" scenarios, too.

*grin* It's very AU! It's like, double AU! (aka gratuitous author service because I can't deal with an unhappy ending!) Wow, I discovered this story through my flist's flist (^^) and I adore it! I'm a big fan of Sumner and even though I don't like Weir a lot, I really like that pairing. Those two chapters were really well written and your Sumner is great! And I'm so glad that he didn't die from the wraith attack!

Oh, wow, thank you! This one's so AU, I really just wrote it to make ME happy, so I'm totally tickled that other people are liking it. :D Yay Sumner! I like what they tell us of Elizabeth's character...it just disappoints me that what they show doesn't seem to match up. ie: I want to like her a lot better than I do!

And it's not explicitly AU to your story -- you never officially turned Sumner into a snack.

It's not totally AU, but the first story works much better if you KNOW he was going to get lucky on Friday night if the gate didn't open and woe, he was Wraithchips instead.

Thanks! I'll go over it again when it's not so late. The original story is full of mistakes. I need to go through that one again. *laughs* It would be an entirely different show if they'd left Sumner breathing. :)
