rofl, great chapter. :) thanks so much for sharing. I don't think I smiled this much reading a story in a long time.

Thank you! I'm glad you're having as much fun reading it as I am writing it. :)

Heh. I love that Rodney memorized the bartending book!

*grin* Thank you! He had to be prepared you know! If there's one thing Rodney knows how to do, it's study.

Yay! Thank you. :)

(Yeah, that's why I was watching Top Gun in the first place - I needed actual reference scenes for them to squee over.)

I get so excited now when I see a new part of this, and you never disappoint. It's so sweet, but it's also real--all the emotions resonate. I think what really gets me is that while they have a lot of the same angst--navigating high school can seem just as deadly as navigating the Pegasus Galaxy, and I am not being facetious when I say that--they're so young, and there's so much hope for the future. That just kills me.

Wow, my socks are most completely rocked by your comment. :) What you say sort of reminds me of Joss Whedon's explanation of high school and how Buffy just gave the monsters a name and a face instead of an abstract construct. I think possibly Rodney and Joss would understand each other pretty well. Thank you very very much. :)

No, for real, I get this hilariously tardtastic smile on my face every time I see that you've posted another chapter of this deliciously funny, superbly 80's story. Totally gut-busting throwbacks to my own childhood. Also? John needs to become unnaturally excited by Top Gun. I'm just saying.

It is taking all my willpower not to use the word "tardtastic" in a professional capacity these days. THANKS.

Top Gun is probably the closest John and Rodney get to simultaneous orgasms. Thank you. :) (Without the sarcastic overtones of above.)
